Integrations

We work with a wide range of rural companies
to bring all your data into one place.

Meat processor

Killsheet data from leading processors allows farmers to compare suppliers, monitor carcass quality and improve efficiencies of the value chain.

ANZCO is one of New Zealand's largest exporters, has sales of 1.7 billion and employs over 3,000 staff worldwide. Farmers supplying ANZCO can manually upload kill sheets into FarmIQ to help them join the dots between farm inputs and the value of farm outputs.

About the integration

An API development at FarmIQ has opened the door for automated data sharing with meat processors throughout New Zealand. The days of having to print kill sheets and manually enter data into the likes of Excel can be a thing of the past if you're a FarmIQ user.

ANZCO's kill sheet data will automatically flow into the platform, enabling farmers to make more accurate and timely decisions by having access to their kill sheets in an easy-to-read report and exportable format.

Whether you're looking to improve quality to achieve a premium or purely increase carcass yield, FarmIQ's integration with ANZCO puts you on the front foot.

The key benefits include the following:

  • Mob Performance – understand what factors (i.e. animal breed, feed type, treatments, stocking rates) influence carcass characteristics so you can make the most profitable decisions for your business.

  • Seasonal Performance – understand how carcass characteristics change across and between seasons so you can make the most profitable decisions for your business.

  • Benchmarking – measuring performance against others in the region or around the country.

  • Supplier Performance – the data will help finishers purchase animals from suppliers who produce better-performing animals.

  • EID Finishing – the data will allow farmers to utilise reporting functionality in FarmIQ to compare the performance of individual animals pre and post-slaughter.

The ANZCO integration is only available on our Performance+ and Pro packs.

Silver Fern Farms is New Zealand's largest livestock processing and marketing company. It is a cooperative of 16,000 New Zealand livestock farmers and an existing shareholder of FarmIQ. Silver Fern Farms has been involved with FarmIQ since its inception and has been instrumental in shaping how farmers can collect, use and share data to increase the quality and the value of meat produced on-farm.

Tru-Test is a global market leader in safe and efficient livestock handling solutions.

About the integration

FarmIQ has been working with Tru-Test for several years to build robust integration between their weigh scales and FarmIQ. FarmIQ currently supports integration with XRS and XRS2 wands and ID3000 and 5000, XR3000 and 5000.

You can use the integration to:

  • Track animal weights against targets to identify animals that need special treatment

  • Perform on-farm trials to compare groups of animals to determine the impact of alternate farm management decisions (e.g. sire genetics) on live-weight production

  • Build a performance history against individual dams within a flock or herd to help identify those animals to retain for breeding replacements, those to mate to terminal sires and those to cull

  • Meet NAIT and processor compliance requirements

Gallagher has been manufacturing and selling animal management products in the rural sector for more than 80 years. The company has earned a worldwide reputation for understanding the needs of farmers and producing durable products that deliver great performance and value.

About the integration

Current functionality allows data captured on Gallagher TW-1, TW-3, TSi, and TSi2 weigh scales to flow into FarmIQ via the FarmIQ mobile app.

Users set up a Bluetooth or Wi-Fi connection between the weigh scale indicator and the FarmIQ app to share data. Both Android and iOS are supported. Once connected, files containing trait and production data (breed, sex, weight, condition score, pregnancy scanning) can flow into FarmIQ.

Data can be captured against an individual EID or individual measurements made against a mob. In addition to connecting to Gallagher weigh scale indicators, the FarmIQ mobile app can connect directly to Gallagher HR3, 4 and 5 EID tag readers for simply uploading files containing EID tag numbers for NAIT purposes.

How farmers use the integration

You can use FarmIQ and Gallagher weigh scales together to:

  • Track animal weights against targets to identify animals that need special treatment

  • Perform on-farm trials to compare groups of animals to determine the impact of alternate farm management decisions (e.g. sire genetics) on live-weight production

  • Build a performance history against individual animals within a flock or herd to help identify those animals to retain for breeding replacements, those to mate to terminal sires and those to cull

  • Meet NAIT and processor compliance requirements

OSPRI's National Animal Identification and Tracing (NAIT) system is an online tool that provides fast and accurate tracing of NAIT animals to support disease management in New Zealand.

The National Animal Identification and Tracing (NAIT) scheme links people, property, and livestock in New Zealand. Under the scheme, cattle and deer are traced using NAIT-approved radio frequency identification device (RFID) ear tags. Once tagged, animals are registered in the national database. Registering with NAIT and updating your NAIT account is a legal obligation for all farmers and person(s) in charge of animals (PICA).

About the integration

Our automated integration with NAIT saves farmers time and effort. Record any stock births, deaths, tag replacements and movements in FarmIQ. The details will automatically flow through to NAIT, ensuring your NAIT obligations are met and saving any double-handling. This is a core feature of the Enterprise Dairy and Enterprise Livestock packs.

To allow FarmIQ to report to NAIT, you need to do a few things:

  1. Give us written permission to report to NAIT on your behalf

  2. Ensure that all NAIT/EID tags are loaded into FarmIQ for all stock

  3. Maintain an accurate stock rec in FarmIQ by recording all births, deaths, purchases, sales and grazing movements

  4. Record all off-farm stock movements (other than sales to a processor) with the NAIT details of the receiving party

If you're already a FarmIQ customer and would like us to manage your NAIT compliance, please get in touch. You will need your NAIT number and have the authority to permit us to act on your behalf. FarmIQ is one of two New Zealand farm management systems accredited as an Information Provider under the NAIT Act 2012.

Established in 1980 by the French family from Palmerston North, NZ and purchased 1997 by the Blampied Family. A family run company in a factory in West Auckland 20 years ago, tinkering with headbails and a few things for local beef producers - now renowned for leading edge, quality New Zealand built cattle and sheep handling hardware and solutions, as well as exporting NZ Agri-tech to the world.

Land and weather application

Automatically sharing data between land application equipment and FarmIQ gives you the highest accuracy and confidence. FarmIQ makes it easy for farmers to connect to selected devices.

Tabula is a GPS guidance and job management system for farmers and agricultural contractors.

At the core of their offer is easy and seamless mapping and tracking of fertiliser and spray application. Tabula allows you to precisely control what goes on the land. You’ll know for sure that the work has been completed accurately and efficiently, and you’ll have the proof for compliance purposes.

About the integration

Proof of application data flowing automatically from Tabula to FarmIQ gives you the highest accuracy and confidence. FarmIQ Enterprise pack subscribers can receive proof of application data from Tabula Online, removing the need to input what was applied manually and the application rate into FarmIQ.

You can do all your Farm Environmental Planning (FEP) within FarmIQ, which makes sense, with all your farm data in one place. Reports are quick and simple to assemble through FarmIQ, and sharing these with external parties is straightforward.

Having the data flow automatically into FarmIQ means you can be confident that application data is accurate and up-to-date. You can use this data for compliance purposes and to measure the impact of effluent, chemical and fertiliser application on your pasture covers and, ultimately, your production.

Harvest Systems use solar powered loggers with built in cell phone modems to remotely monitor Internet of Things (IoT) sensors attached to the base station and wireless UHF radio remotes within a few kilometres.

The live data and history can be viewed on the Harvest web site using any computer or smartphone.

About the integration

FarmIQ has recently released an integration with Harvest, meaning that you can now send weather data from Harvest to a weather station in FarmIQ. This makes it easy to build a reliable and accurate history of your farm's weather.

  • FarmIQ can receive daily and hourly information for rainfall, temperature, soil temperature and soil moisture

  • Weather data will be recorded in the history of each paddock the weather station is associated with

  • The Dashboard has graphs of your current and historical weather data from the station's devices

Financial

Reducing the stress of double entry with the connection of financial systems and FarmIQ.

Figured is the country's leading farm financial management tool for dairy, livestock and crop operations, encompassing production tracking, budgeting and forecasting features.

Figured believes farmers, bankers, accountants and rural advisors should be working together, collaboratively planning for a farm's future using real-time financial information - so they've built a world-class solution, integrated with leading accounting software Xero and partnered with forward-thinking global banks who believe that Figured is a game-changer for their farming customers.

About the integration

FarmIQ has been working alongside the Figured team to deliver a data connection requested by many of our joint customers, meaning stock transactions can now be automatically moved from FarmIQ into Figured. This includes births, deaths, sales and purchases, and sale and purchase weights.

Lost and found information, trait changes and ageing up events will all be transferred automatically to Figured.

This powerful integration gives farmers and their advisors a real-time view of the farm's performance to plan ahead confidently. More data-sharing capabilities between the two platforms are also planned for the near future.

Key benefits of the integration include:

  • Eliminate double entry: By connecting FarmIQ and Figured, you will no longer waste time manually entering the same livestock information into different systems. The double entry becomes a thing of the past, giving you more time to spend on things that move the needle.

  • Confidence in numbers: There's no reason you should put up with inconsistent data being reported across multiple systems. By automatically syncing stock transactions managed in FarmIQ with Figured, the entire farming team can easily collaborate to forecast and set financial plans using the most accurate and up-to-date farm information available.

  • Make informed decisions: Pairing your farm and financial data together connects all the pieces of the puzzle; past performance, present situation and future forecasts bring you valuable insights about your business. In one place, you can easily understand where you are and where you're heading, so you can make confident decisions for the future of your farm.

  • Single source of truth: FarmIQ's stock reconciliation becomes the single source of truth for all your stock transaction data, giving everyone on the team – farmers, owners, farm boards, accountants and banks – more confidence in the numbers they are receiving.
